5 great ideas to earn the Daisy Girl Scout Make the World a Better Place Petal

As a Daisy Girl Scout, the girls will have the opportunity to earn 10 petals, 4 leaves and the center of the flower. Each Petal representing a different part of the Girl Scout Law. Today’s post is about the Make the World a Better Place Law. There is no right or wrong way to approach teaching your girls about the law to earn the petal, but for me I always try to follow the following pattern

  • Practice the Law
  • Be Creative (Law Craft)
  • Have some fun (Game related to law)
  • Put the Law into action
  • Optionally: If I have a song that relates to the law we will sing that as well.

In the Girl Scout Leader guide book it doesn’t give much in way of requirements for Daisy Girl Scouts, even though the Girl Scout guide book does not call for a specific number of things the girls have to complete to earn the petal I follow the above pattern with each of the petals.  I feel by doing multiple activities for each law it will help the girls to remember the values and laws they learned.
